Lifeguard Classes Begin in Rudyard
The duties and responsibilities of lifeguards and rescue techniques will be offered in a class beginning Monday, February 28, at the Rudyard pool. The class meets every evening through Saturday, March 5, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. The course includes CPR for the professional rescuer. Participants must be at least 15 years old by the last day of class and be able to pass a prerequisite swim test. Cost is $85.
A Water Safety Instructor course will teach participants how to be an instructor for Red Cross swimming lessons. Participants must be at least 16 years of age by the end of the course, and posses the swimming skills that are to be taught.
Classes will be held Monday and Wednesday evenings from 6:45 p.m. to 9:45 p.m., beginning Wednesday, February 23. Cost is $89.
