Leonard Brown
Leonard Howard Brown, 72, of Lehi, Utah, worked as an undersheriff at the Mackinac County Sheriff’s Department and was employed at Davis Funeral Home while a resident of St. Ignace for many years. He later worked as a policeman and security officer for many years in Utah. Mr. Brown died February 9, 2005, in Lehi.
He was born September 1, 1932, in Chicago, to Leon and Catherine Kreiger Brown.
He married Judy Lee Brown May 4, 1985.
Mr. Brown served in the Air Force during the Korean Conflict. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and enjoyed the outdoors and spending time with his children.
He is survived by his wife, Judy, of Lehi; three sons and their families, Joe Brown of Wisconsin, Keith and Renee Brown of Wheatland, California, and Jon Brown of Lehi; three daughters and their families, Valerie and Richard Brice of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Sonja Brown of Colusa, California, and Brenda and Gary Llewelyn of Lehi; 12 grandchildren, and a sister, Betty Lou Piepenberg of Green Bay.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Gwendolyn Robins Brown, of St. Ignace.
A funeral was held Monday, February 14, at 11 a.m. in the Wing Mortuary Chapel in Lehi.
Interment was at Lehi City Cemetery.
