Jane and Grant Simmons in 1955 Grant and Jane Simmons of St. Ignace celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary February 12. They were married February 12, 1955 and have made their home in St. Ignace for the past 34 years.

Mrs. Simmons, the daughter of the late Ty and Ling Horn of Mackinac Island, worked for her father at Ty’s Restaurant on Mackinac Island and for Star Line Ferry.

Mr. Simmons was a Master Sergeant in the Air Force, and was stationed in Kansas, Florida, Puerto Rico, California, Paris, France, Thailand, Alabama, and Kincheloe. He is the son of the late Grant and Stella Simmons of St. Ignace.

Jane and Grant Simmons in 2005 Mr. and Mrs. Simmons have seven children, Janet, Charles, Rebecca, Kimberlain, Alison, Grant, and Tyling. They have 18 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
