Ida Hawkins and Fred Hastings IV of St. Ignace announce the birth of a son, Frederick Anthony Hastings V, born February 5, 2005, at Cheboygan Memorial Hospital. He weighed 7 pounds, 7 ounces and measured 20 inches in length at birth.

Grandparents are Nelma and Gary Mattison and Lynn Dionne, all of St. Ignace, and Fred Hastings III of South Gate.

Great-grandmother is Madelyn Stephens of St. Ignace.
