Daniel Reynolds
Daniel Duncan Reynolds of Cedarville worked more than 40 years for Partlan-Labadie Sheet Metal in lower Michigan. He and his wife, JoAn, lived in Farmington Hills until their retirement, when they moved to the Les Cheneaux Islands, where they became members of the Les Cheneaux Senior Citizens and attended the Hessel Presbyterian Church.
Mr. Reynolds was 84 when he died Friday, March 11, 2005, at Southwest Florida Regional Medical Center in Fort Meyers, Florida.
He was born July 12, 1920 in Lapeer, to Walter and Martha (nee Koths) Reynolds.
Mr. Reynolds was graduated from Melvindale High School in 1938. He was a decorated veteran of World War II, and served in Company D, 130th Infantry in the Pacific Theater.
He married JoAn Rosella Cross October 11, 1947, in Pontiac.
He was Past Master of the Farmington Masonic Lodge, a member of Scottish Rite, and a member of Moslem Shriners of Southfield. He also enjoyed astronomy, wood-working, and gardening.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters and their families, Nancy and James Schepers of South Haven and Janice and David Bjurstrom of Greenwood, Indiana; three grandchildren and their families, Rob Schepers of Kentwood, Amanda and Ben Makin of Bogart, Georgia, and Katherine Schepers of Columbus, Ohio; one sister and her family, Eunice and Joseph Sebren of Grayland, Washington, and one brother, T. Calvert Reynolds of Bloomfield Hills.
He was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Norley Reynolds and Ross Reynolds.
Services will be Friday, March 18, at 11 a.m. at Reamer Galer Funeral Home in Pickford. The Reverend Judith Arnold will officiate.
The committal service and burial will be at Glen Eden Cemetery in Livonia at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 19, at which Mr. Reynold's son-in-law, James Schepers, will officiate.
