Engadine Legion Post Names Prize Winner

Bob Eastman of Newberry is the winner of a 2005 Suzuki 4x4 ATV in a raffle conducted by American Legion Post 290, West Mackinac County. Mr. Eastman’s ticket was drawn at the Post’s April 11 meeting. Donald Goudreau of Trout Lake won the second prize, a Radisson aluminum canoe, and Evelyn Selby of Rexton won third prize, a $200 gift certificate at Vallier’s Supermarket in Naubinway.
The Feneley-McNeil-Nesbit American Legion Post is one of the newest Legion Posts in Michigan, chartered in November 2002 with 27 members. The post recently welcomed its 99th member.
The Post serves veterans and their families in the west Mackinac County communities of Curtis, Gould City, Engadine, Naubinway, Garnet, Rexton, Epoufette, Trout Lake, and surrounding areas, and has members from Seney in Schoolcraft County.
All honorably discharged veterans who meet eligibility dates can join the club. Post meetings are held at 7 p.m. on the second Monday of the month at the VFW Hall in Engadine.
