•St. James Lutheran Church in Rudyard will host a Pasty Sale at the Rudyard High School Cafeteria Saturday, April 23. Orders will be taken for 1,000 pasties. Orders can be placed by calling (906) 478-3226 or (906) 478-6631.

• DeTour Presbyterian Church will host its annual Birthday Banquet Friday, April 22, at 6 p.m. at the church. The banquet is open to the public and guests are encouraged to sit at the tables labeled for the month of their birthday. Tickets are $6 for adults and $3 for children under age 12. Following the family style dinner, there will be birthday cake and entertainment.

•The Pickford Presbyterian Church will host its Mother Daughter Banquet Wednesday, May 4, at 7 p.m. Tickets are available through Sunday, May 1, from Elaine Slater or Valerie Hill. The price for tickets is $4 for adults, $2 for children ages 6 through 12, and children 6 and under are free.
