Brevort

At first I thought it was thick rain and I was wrong. Oh, well. It was snow. Into each life must fall...snow in May.
Jim and Ann Dyer attended the Lions Convention in Iron Mountain this weekend. Two weeks ago they traveled to Greenville to visit Ann Wright.
John and Pega Kennedy, Kenny and Sharon Smith, and Dottie Glashaw drove to Petoskey Saturday to attend the wedding of Steven Massey and Ellen Wickershan Saturday. Congratulations to Steve and Ellen.
It was a busy weekend at the Wildwood Pastie Shoppe east of Brevort.
Jeff and Pat Cranson were at their cottage on Wildwood Lane this weekend. With them was their daughter, Kim, and her husband, Mitch. Kim and Mitch spent Saturday night at Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island.
Brenda Spencer and Pega Kennedy journeyed to the Treetops Resort in Gaylord to attend the food show this week.
Well known celebrities "The Yoopers" had breakfast at Jeannie's Reach this weekend. They were happy to give Jeannie and Brian some excerpts from their show. It was very funny, as one might expect from the Yoopers.
Jack and Thora Shepard are home after two weeks in Florida. Bob and Linda Shepard of Batavia, New York, joined them for some sunshine. Anita Dumas helps with the driving and has her own condo. Now that the Shepards are home it is time to think of opening the cottage at Trout Lake.
Kenny and Sharon Smith have opened the Brevort Motel.
Dottie Glashaw had company from Grand Rapids this week. Dot noticed a coyote in her yard and also deer that enjoy eating the tops off her emerging flowers. Time for the red cayenne pepper.
Local roofer Mike Gould was out checking on our roof. He had the family dog, by the name of Maggie, with him. What a little charmer she is. She is white with black markings and just a dot of brown, and so friendly.
Joe and Sharon Chalmers drove Escanaba Sunday. They shopped around at Elmer's Grocery and other places of interest.
Coco, the Chalmers' pooch, just can't take long walks with Joe anymore. She comes home very tired and her joints and bones get stiff. She takes a long nap after the walk. Works for me, too.
Gio Giordano visited with Joe Chalmers this week.
Dave and I took a ride around Brevort Lake and Gormon Road looking for nieces and nephews, and found only one at home, young Jake Weiss. That boy is getting taller each time I see him.
Get well wishes to Mary Ann First. Happy Birthday to Matt Smith and Tom Gustafson this week.
Dave Movalson was a caller in Petoskey Monday.
