Traffic on the Mackinac Bridge in March increased 2.4 percent compared to March, 2004, reported Robert Sweeney, executive secretary of the Mackinac Bridge Authority. Vehicles crossing the span this March totalled 245,833, compared to 240,155 crossings last March.

Year to date traffic is 1.1 percent ahead of last year's pace, with 692,664 vehicles in 2005 and 685,294 vehicles in 2004.
