Mackinac Island Public School is holding a Lock-in event for eighth to 12th grade students Friday, May 6, to Saturday, May 7.
Students will spend the night at the school and enjoy games and food. Large sumo wrestling body outfits will be available for students to wrestle each other in, said event coordinator Susan Bennett, the school’s high school mathematics teacher. Students will watch movies, play video games, and compete in other games such as a relay race.
The school’s 21st Century after-school grant will help fund the event.
