Vern Cornwell, retired mail carrier, woodcarver, and longtime Rudyard resident, will be the speaker for the next meeting of the Rudyard Historical Society. He will tell his stories of growing up in the Rudyard area in the 1930s. The meeting will be Thursday, May 12, at 7 p.m. at the Rudyard Community Building, and is open to all who are interested in Rudyard history.
