Lorene Nunn Lorene Elsie Nunn, 80, of North Street, died Friday, April 29, 2005, in Dearborn.

She was born September 12, 1924, in Pickford, to James and Janet (nee Stewart) Steele.

She worked for many years in the Port Huron area. She enjoyed gardening, traveling and fishing. Family members and friends remember her for her Christmas fruitcake, fried green tomatoes, and her great sense of humor.

Mrs. Nunn is survived by her husband, Vere Nunn, whom she married on June 23, 1948 in St. Ignace; a sister, Ruby Ruona of Alma; one brother, Greeley Steele of Marysville, and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, Isabelle Owaski, Dorothy Anderson and Inez Nordstrom, and by one brother, Bill Steele.

Services will be Wednesday, May 4, at noon, at Reamer Galer Funeral Home in Pickford. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of the funeral.

Burial will be in Cottle Cemetery in Marquette Township, Pickford.
