Pickford High School Names April Students of the Month
Scott Coullard
Matt Rose, Scott Coullard, Gail King, and Emily Lamb have been named Students of the Month for April at Pickford High School.
Matt Rose, 15, is in the 9th grade and is the son of Steve and Jillena Rose. His favorite school subjects are science, woods, and band and he participates in 4-H, Student Council, FCCLA., track, cross country, and swimming.
He works part-time as a farm hand and enjoys 4-H and hunting.
“Learning new things, not necessarily in school, but anywhere,” is what he says education means to him, and one of his proudest achievements is being graduated from eighth grade.
Emily Lamb
Mr. Rose would like to become an Air Force officer and most admires “all the soldiers serving in the military, for their bravery.”
He has two sisters, Rachel and Abby Rose.
Scott Coullard, 16, is in the 10th grade and is the son of Mike and Saundra Coullard. His favorite school subject is computer programming and he participates in track, football, and basketball. His hobbies are sports, hunting, and fishing.
Education “means getting the skills needed for a job I could really enjoy,” hesaid, and he is most proud of being a good athlete and a good student.

Mr. Coullard said he would like to become a computer programer and most admires friends and family for their support when he needs it.
He has four sisters, Brandy, Amber, Chrissy, and Wendy.
Gail King, 16, is in the 11th grade and is the daughter of David and Cathy Nayback. Her favorite school subjects are English, computer programming, and sociology and she participates in FCCLA, religious education, God’s Hands, and Science Olympiad. She enjoys attending mass, singing, and reading.
One of her proudest achievements is attending Nationals two years in a row.

Miss King plans to attend Aquinas College to study theology. She most admires her mother, “because she tries as hard as she can to love God and her family with all her heart.”
Her siblings are Tony, Christopher, and Angela King and David and Faith Nayback.
Emily Lamb, 18, is in the 12th grade and the daughter of Dave and Deb Lamb. Her favorite school subject is desktop publishing and she participates in 4-H, yearbook, drama, band, cross country, and track. Her likes to run and spend time with friends.
“Education to me means, giving me the tools for my future,” she said. Her proudest achievement is being honored as student of the month.
The person she admires the most, she said, is her great-grandmother Ames, “because she has lived so long and she is still so happy.”
Miss Lamb plans to become an elementary education teacher.
She has one sister, Sarah Hipps.
