Natural Resources Conservationist Christine Bonde left her position after 1.5 years at the NRCS office in Sault Ste. Marie to move closer to her family in Wisconsin. She transferred to Merrill, Wisconsin, in late March. The Chippewa/East Mackinac Conservation District board presented Ms. Bonde with a farewell gift at the District's annual meeting and banquet Thursday, March 17. Board member Orv Kabat of Rudyard made the presentation.

"We're pleased with what she's accomplished," Mr. Kabat said of Ms. Bonde. "She's a very talented person."
