Pickford Boys, Lady Panthers Sweep EUPC Meet at Engadine

Pickford boys and girls swept the Engadine track meet Friday, April 22.
The Pickford boys recorded 140 points followed by Cedarville with 97.5, Engadine 96.5, Brimley 84, Rudyard 54, DeTour 16, and Mackinac Island 1.
The Lady Panthers recorded 105 points to edge out Cedarville with 103, while the host Lady Eagles tallied 90, followed by Brimley with 81, DeTour 73, Rudyard 32, and Mackinac Island 6.
Pickford: Triple winner Carl Morrison led the Panthers with victories in the 800 in 2:16.27, 1600 in 5:05.60, and 3200 in 11:53.62 and took second in the 200 dash.

Chris Thompson won the 400 in 55.84 and the high jump with a mark of 5' 8" and placed third in the 800, while the foursome of Richard Gibson, Kurt Harrison, Thompson, and Morrison won the 3200-relay event with a time of 9:21.45. The 400-relay team finished second and the 800 and 1600 groups took third.
Tony King placed second in the high hurdles and fifth in the low hurdles; Kip Cline third in the high hurdles, high jump, and low hurdles, and fourth in the long jump; Nick Raden third in the 3200; Richard Gibson fourth in the 1600; Kurt Harrison fifth in the 800; Curtis Bew sixth in the 100, and Scott Coullard sixth in the 400.

Lady Panthers:
Caitlin Mortinsen won the 200 dash in 29.55, the 400 in 1:07.53, and finished second in the 100. Renae Reich finished first in the high jump with a height of 4' 8." Jessica Ledy placed first in the long jump with a leap of 12' 2". The Lady Panthers 400-relay team of Veronica Morrison, Courtney Bruni, Reich, and Ledy won with a time of 58.41. The 800-foursome of Mortinsen, Morrison, Reich, and Bruni took first in 2:01.40, and the 1600 group took third.
Courtney Bruni placed second in the low hurdles and sixth in the high hurdles; Stephanie Savoie third in the 1600 and fourth in the 800; Kaylynn Portice fourth in the 3200; Veronica Morrison fourth in the long jump and sixth in the shot put; Emily Lamb fifth in the 3200, and Allison Priskorn sixth in the 1600.
Cedarville: The Trojans 1600-relay team of Jordan Sweeney, Michael Thompson, Trevor Sigman, and Ross Hansen finished first with a time of 4:06.42. The 3200 foursome took second, and the 400 and 800 teams finished fourth.
Justin Baker placed second in the high hurdles and long jump and fifth in the high hurdles; Ryan Duman second in the high jump and sixth in the long jump; Jordan Sweeney second in the 800, and Alex Altmaier second in the discus.
Matt Hansen took third in the long jump and fifth in the high jump; Trevor Sigman third in the 400 and fifth in the 200; Sheldon Tassier third in the 1600; Justin Benson fifth in the shot put; Keith Foster sixth in the shot, and Kevin Thompson sixth in the low hurdles.
Lady Trojans: Caitlin Wright won the low hurdles in 58.28; Shanyan Rohrer the discus with a throw of 84' 2." The 1600 relay team of Kelly Sheckler, Katie Bowlby, Lindsey McLeod, and Lauren Izzard took first in 4:56.51. The 3200 foursome of Emily Feldhake, Lauren Izzard, Bowlby, and McLeod finished first in 11:46.96 to lead Cedarville.
Elizabeth Reno placed second in the discus and fifth in the shot put; Lindsey McLeod third in the 400 and high jump; Megan Izzard third in the long jump; Megan Hill third in the high hurdles and fifth in the low hurdles; Kara Griffin third in the 800; Marcie Mason third in the high jump; Lauren Izzard fourth in the 1600; Katie Bowlby fifth in the 400 and sixth in the long jump; Katie Hurban sixth in the 200, and Rhianna Milligan sixth in the discus.
Engadine: Grayson Hood led the Eagles with wins in the high hurdles in 16.63 and low hurdles in 46.03, while Stefen Albright won the long jump with a leap of 16' 10" and finished third in the 100. The Eagles 400 relay team of Paul Converse, Kris Kerbersky, Hood, and Albright won with a time of 49.95. The 800 foursome of Brad Visser, Converse, Albright, and Hood took first in 1:42.87, the 1600 team took second, and the 3200 group placed fourth.
Kris Kerbersky finished third in the 200 and fourth in the 100; John Troyer third in the shot put and sixth in the discus; Derek Weichlein fourth in the 800; Josh Butterly fifth in the high jump, and Addison Whittney sixth in the long jump.
Lady Eagles: Shauni Rutledge won the shot put with a toss of 29' 0" and placed fifth in the high jump, Elicia Derusha won the 1600 in 6:24.47, and all four relay teams took second to lead Engadine.
Jazmin Rodriquez finished third in the discus and fourth in the shot; Rose Paquin third in the shot and fifth in the discus; Tristina Browning third in the 200; Erin Kropp fourth in the 200; Desirae Derusha fifth in the high jump; Chloe Fletcher fifth in the high hurdles; Whittney Kerridge fifth in the long jump; Andrea Miller sixth in the 800, and Lindsey Weger sixth in the 400.
Brimley: Josh Winkler won the shot put with a toss of 46' 11.8" and the discus with a throw of 113'8" to lead the Bays, while Ryan Freedman took second in the 100 dash and fourth in the 400; Jordan Dillon fourth in the high and low hurdles; Derek Parish fourth in the shot and fifth in the discus; Travis Lynn fourth in the 200; R. Schwiderson fifth in the 1600 and sixth in the 3200. Placing fifth were Ryan Holdsworth in the long jump, Harlan Chartrand in the 400, and Chris York in the 800. The Bays 800 relay team placed second, the 400 and 3200 took third, and the 1600 finished fourth.
Lady Bays: Katey Kingsbury won the 100 dash in 13.50 and placed second in the 400 and 800 events; Amber Aikens second in the 200 and third in the 100; Miranda Rousseau second in the high hurdles and fourth in the low hurdles; Courtney Amble second in the shot; Stephanie Freedman third in the 3200 and fifth in the 800. The Brimley 3200 relay team took fourth and the 400, 800, and 1600 foursomes finished fifth.
Rudyard: Mike Chontos won the 100 dash in 11.74, and 200 in 25.11, and second in the 400 to lead the Bulldogs, while Isiah Otten placed second in the 1600 and 3200. Travis Clegg took second in the shot, and the Bulldogs 400 and 800 relay teams finished sixth.
Lady Bulldogs: Charlotte Folkersma placed second in the 1600 and 3200 runs; Courtney Fowler second in the long jump and fifth in the 200, and the 3200 relay team took third.
DeTour: Jeremy Burton finished fourth in the high jump and Nathan Tiefenbach placed fourth in the discus; Stan Stocking fifth in the 3200; Max Peterson fifth in the high jump, and the Raiders 400 and 800 relay teams took fifth.
Lady Raiders: Amber Burton won the 3200 run in 13:45.00 and took second in the high jump; Liz Lehman won the high hurdles in 18.84 and third in the low hurdles; Kelley Tomlinson won the 800 in 2:47.86; Brianna Kuiper fourth in the 100, and Christina Stocking fourth in the high hurdles.
Mackinac Island: Sam Kamphuis finished sixth in the 1600 run for the Lakers. Emma Chambers finished fourth in the 400 dash and fifth in the 100 event.
