Coach Lou Grondin was named All-District Coach of the Year and players senior Tim Mullen, junior Tyler Huskey, and freshman Kyle Spencer were named to the All-District First Team. Senior John Paul Herbon and junior Kyle O'Boyle received honorable mention.

Mullen played shortstop for the Saints, with Huskey in centerfield, Spencer the ace on the mound, Herbon behind the plate, and O'Boyle the St. Ignace third baseman.

"This is a very young team that improved throughout the season," said Coach Grondin. "We took our lumps early in the season, but with each game we continued to improve and make better judgments and, come districts, we played well and won."

"As the Coach of the Year honor goes, the entire team was part of that award. The players listened to me and, with assistant coaches Gregg Fettig and Mike Robinson, that was the reason for the turnaround and the district crown."

Coach and player district honors were selected by the six coaches in the district.
