Eastern Upper Peninsula cagers (from left) Megan Hunter and Liz Stempki of St. Ignace, Ross Hansen of Cedarville, and Chris Schroeder of Rudyard played in the Upper Peninsula All-Star Basketball Classic on the North Teams Saturday, June 11, in Negaunee. Both North Teams were defeated, with the South squad winning the girls game 72-49 as Hunter scored five points and Stempki tallied four. In the boys game, the South won 102-96 as Hansen notched nine points and Schroeder chipped in four. Cedarville will host the 2006 and 2007 All-Star Games.
