Hello, everyone. The warm weather is still sticking around. It could cool down just a bit, but I prefer warm to cold.
Nine Engadine High School students assisted the Engadine-Naubinway Lions Club at the Lions Club games on the Fourth of July in Naubinway. The students listed below each donated several hours of work under the hot skies, to insure the children had a good time. The students were: Katie Biang, Whitney Frazier, Katie Hobbs, Elisa Hobbs, Katie Rutledge, Shannon Browning, Carrie Sadler, Lauren MacArthur, and Phillip Hood. Joining them, from Colorado, was Julie Crocker, a cousin of the Hobbs family. Paula Ramelis was the coordinator for the volunteers. The Lions Club believes it would be great to have these volunteers in 2006.
The Annual Bethlehem Lutheran Church Chicken and Swiss Steak Dinner will be at Garfield Township Hall in Engadine Sunday, August 14, from noon to 2:30 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 5 to 12, and free for children younger than 5. Everyone is welcome to attend.
