•John Coveyou, 42, of St. Ignace, pled no contest to aggravated assault, will spend 365 days in jail (272 suspended), pay a $450 fine, and spend one year on probation. (St. Ignace City Police)
The following dispositions are from the 92nd District Court on Mackinac Island, August 18, Judge Beth Gibson presiding.
•Adam Matelski, 20, of Mackinac Island, was ordered to complete 45 hours of community service, to pay a fine of $250, and will be on nine months probation for minor in possession, second offense. He will also have his license sanctioned by the State of Michigan. (Mackinac Island Police Department)
The following dispositions are from the 11th Circuit Court in St. Ignace, August 19, Judge Charles Stark presiding.
•Shawn Lee McNamara, 30, of Newberry was fined $1,170.69 in restitution or one year in jail, was sentenced to 10 months in jail, and will pay fines of $120 plus supervision fees for breaking and entering a building with intent.
•Michael Todd Seets, 42, of Davisburg, was sentenced to pay $16,542.91 in delinquent child support and $820 in additional fines and costs for failing to pay child support. He was also ordered to stay current in his payments.
•Anthony Charles Goodenough, 22, of Hastings, was ordered to pay $1,020 in fines and costs, serve six months in jail, will have his license sanctioned by the State of Michigan, and one year of probation for possessing less than 25 grams of cocaine.
•Vernon Joseph Robert, 19, of Central Lake, was sentenced to pay $1,020 in fines and costs (delayed for a year) for possessing marijuana with intent to deliver.
•DeMarcus Deonte Lay, 16, of St. Ignace was sentenced for a term of three to 15 years in the Michigan Department of Corrections prison system for third degree criminal sexual conduct.
•Rundre Rafael Lay, 30, of Flint was sentenced to 100 days in jail and to pay $720 in fines and costs for possession of less than 50 grams of cocaine. He will also have his license sanctioned.
•Travis Ryan Binger, 20, of Moran, was sentenced to pay $430 in fines and costs, $1,308.50 restitution, and ordered to spend six months in jail (held in abeyance) for unlawful use of a motor vehicle. He will also be on probation for one year.
