Thirty-one class members, spouses, and friends of the Rudyard High School Class of 1955 gathered for a 50 year reunion Friday, July 29, and enjoyed a Soo Locks Boat Dinner Cruise.

Attending were Mr. and Mrs. Bob Rudolph of Grand Rapids; Bob Hesselink of Sebring, Florida; Dick and Joyce Harjie of Fort Gratoit; Mr. and Mrs. Dave Bergsma of Brighton; Darlene (Salo) Dowd and Bud of SunnyVale, California; Joyce White Fidler of Scottsdale, Arizona; Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Frenderburg of Quinnesec; Katherine (Poirior) Lowery of Pensocola, Florida; Nancy (Mayry) Nurmi and Paavo of St. Ignace; Ron and Carol Mitchell of St. Ignace; David and Margaret Folkersma, Irene (Gemmel) Johnson and Gerald, Carl, and Shareen Nayback, and Henry and Jo Jarvie, all of Rudyard; Lorna (Jacobson) Fleming and Dale of Clio; Grace (Anderson) Smith and Floyd of Kawkawlin; Pearl Anderson Bennett of Kinross. Also joining them were Margaret LaPonsie of Rudyard and Betty Jacobson Travis of Clio. Before the boat tour they were joined by Pauline Nelson Trutel of Kincheloe, Marion Hanson of Clarkson, and Susan Peffers Smith from Ohio.

They had a float in the parade the next day, during Rudyard Summer Festival.

Deceased class members are Richard Niemi, Earl Jarvis, Jo Heller, Verna Malasha, Joy Ann Allen, Dick Smith, Russell LaPonsie.

Forty were graduated in the class of 1955. Advisor Ed Jarvie was unable to attend.
