Visiting authors and an Appraisal Fair will highlight programs at the St. Ignace Public Library this fall.

Pickford author Sue Harrison will read from her current manuscript at the library Wednesday, September 14, at 7 p.m., and discuss publishing and selling books.

Hessel author Moira Wilson will share her publishing experience and present her new book, “Revolutionary Fires: A Tale of the Indian Eve,” Wednesday, September 21, at 7 p.m.

Friends of the Library will sponsor an “Identify the Picture Day” Saturday, October 1, to seek the public’s help in identifying old photographs of St. Ignace on display in the library. All are invited to come to the library that day to identify locations and people in the pictures.

The library will host an Appraisal Fair Sunday, October 23, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Little Bear East Arena. Participants may bring up to two items for professional appraisal, at a cost of $4 per item.

Genealogy programs and beginning computer classes will be offered at the library this fall, with dates to be announced.
