Lady Trojans Move to 4-0 With Win Over Bays

Marcelle Reno Cedarville Cedarville remains undefeated at 4-0 overall and 2-0 in the Eastern Upper Peninsula Conference after a 74-39 league win over Brimley Thursday, September 8.

Marcelle Reno, Lindsay McLeod, and Jessica Duncan scored 14 points each to lead the Trojans. Emily Feldhake added 10, Lauren Izzard and Kara Griffin both chipped in seven, Kristen Duman notched four, Marcie Mason tallied three, and Rebecca Bickham charted one.

Carrie Aikens scored 10 points to lead the Bays. J. Perron added eight, Ashley Lothrop chipped in seven, Molly McIntyre notched five, Kelly Graham tallied four, Marissa Lawson marked three, and P.J. Hopper counted two.

The Trojans raced out to a 21-7 lead after the first eight minutes and held a 12-8 scoring edge in the second quarter for a 33-15 halftime lead.

Cedarville continued to dominate with a 19-14 margin in the third quarter to build their lead to 52-29 and completed the conference contest with a 22-10 advantage in the final period.

Trojans JV 4-0 On Season

The Cedarville junior varsity is also 4-0 on the season after a 63-31 win over Brimley, Thursday, September 8.

Billie McLeod scored 21 points and recorded 10 rebounds to lead the Trojans. Ashley Sweeney added nine points, eight steals, and six assists, Katie Bowlby and Kacie Simpson chipped in six each, Caitlin Wright tallied five, Brittney Kelley and Felicia Brant both notched four, and Megan Hill, Carissa Sudol, MacKenzie Sudol, and Karley Smith charted two points apiece.
