The Sault Ste. Marie Elks Lodge No. 552 will host an October Polka Fest Saturday, October 15, from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. Authentic Polish and German food will be served and live entertainment will be provided, with Dave O’Gorman from 2:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. and “The Northern Sounds” traditional polka band of Alpena from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. Adult tickets cost $8 and children’s tickets cost $4; tickets may be purchased at the lodge at 1111 E. Portage Avenue, or from any Elks member. Proceeds will benefit the group’s youth and adult community projects.
