American Association of Retired Persons (AARP) is offering a free new publication to help those eligible make informed decisions about whether the new Medicare prescription drug program is right for them.

The 24 page booklet is titled, “The New Medicare Prescription Drug Coverage: What You Need to Know.” It is available by calling AARP toll-free at (888) 687-2277. It is also available online at www.aarp.org.

October 1 is the date that insurers and other providers can begin marketing their prescription drug policies.
