Lois Elaine Darknell, 63, of Naubinway, died Monday, October 31, 2005, at her home.

She was born November 19, 1942 in Bitely to Jack and Donna Webster.

She married William G. Darknell in Grand Marais November 17, 1965. The family lived in White Cloud for several years and moved to Rexton 29 years ago.

Mrs. Darknell was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.

She is survived by her husband, William G.; two sons and their families, Timothy and Tammy of Naubinway and Mitchell and Susan of Rollo, Missouri; four daughters and their families, Teresa and Brad McGuire of Negaunee, Tracy Allen Bartlette of Muskegon, Elaine and John Browning of Garnet, and Danielle and Steve Jones of Sandpoint, Idaho; two sisters, Sharon Jones of Bitely and Nancy Pritchett of Haden, Alabama; two brothers, Herby Cross of Scottville and Daniel Cross of Bozeman, Montana; 15 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at the Rexton Mennonite Church from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, November 2. Services will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, November 3, at the church with Pastor Tim Miller officiating.

Burial will be in Caffey Cemetery.

Dodson Funeral Home of St. Ignace is conducting the arrangements.
