The remainder of the third quarter was scoreless, but in the final period Norway tallied two touchdowns for a 19-8 advantage before the Indians marched 80 yards and scored on a 10-yard pass from Andrew Schultz to Brandon Wheeler. Pann chipped in the two-point conversion to cut the Knights’ lead to 19-16, but with only 35 seconds left in the game.
Newberry attempted an onside kick, but the kick failed to go the necessary 10 yards and Norway downed the ball on the first play as time expired.
