Pickford defeated Newberry in non-conference hoops, Rudyard upended Rogers City in Straits Area Conference (SAC) play, and DeTour dropped a non-league contest to Gaylord St. Mary Tuesday, October 25.

Panthers Claw Newberry

Ten players scored for Pickford as the Panthers’ winning streak reached 12 games with an 81-48 decision over Newberry.

Chelsey O'Connor scored 18 points, four assists, and three steals to lead the Panthers. Caitlin Mortinsen added 16 points, Veronica Gough chipped in 12 points and six rebounds, Jessie Ledy notched 11 points and five assists, Kaylynn Portice tallied seven points and six boards, Kacey Nyberg marked four points and team high 11 rebounds, Renae Reich charted four points and six assists, Melissa Kucharczyk recorded four, Lauren Waybrant registered two points and three steals, and Chelsey Davenport counted two.

Pickford led 35-16 at halftime and outscored the Indians 46-32 in the second half to post the victory.

Bulldogs Down Hurons

Corine Ross scored 18 points, Dana VanSloten added 16, and Megan Rogers chipped in five to lead Rudyard to a 39-29 SAC win over Rogers City.

The Bulldogs led 17-14 at halftime and held a 22-15 margin in the second half en route to the league win.

Raiders Defeated by Snowbirds

DeTour dropped a 63-44 non-conference road decision to Gaylord St. Mary as Amber Burton scored 13, Kelley Tomlinson added 10 points and five assists, Krystal Bosley chipped in eight, Pia Hoge notched six, Liz Lehman tallied four, Erin Worden charted two, and Anne Goetz marked one.

The Snowbirds led 22-17 at halftime before outscoring the Raiders 41-27 in the second half.
