Youth Cheerleaders To Compete Dec. 3

Twenty-five of the 36 girls participating in St. Ignace’s Cheer America this winter are newcomers and will get their first experience in regional competition at Johannes-burg-Lewiston High School Satur-day, December 3. Head Coach Staci Nelson has five teams this season, organized by age, Level One being the youngest. Members range in age from 4 to 13.

The St. Ignace team has girls from St. Ignace, Rudyard, New-berry, Mackinaw City, and Engadine and is the only Upper Peninsula team among the 25 teams participating in the regional. Cheboygan and Indian River also have teams.
