Mackinac Straits Hospital Auxiliary will sponsor a Book Sale Wednesday, December 7, Thursday, December 8, and Friday, December 9, in the Education Room of Mackinac Straits Hospital.

The Book Sale will feature new hardback books and gift items and will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday, and 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Sales of books and gifts will benefit the Hospital Auxiliary’s purchase of a new supine bath tub to benefit patients who cannot stand for a shower or sit for a bath, said Shannon Doran, hospital administrative assistant.

Proceeds of this year’s Lights of Love ceremony at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, December 4, and the ongoing auxiliary membership drive will also be used toward purchase of the supine bath tub.

Lights of Love may be dedicated for $5 each. Annual membership dues are payable at $10 (active membership) or $20 (supportive membership).

Donations or dues may be dropped off at the hospital or sent to Mackinac Straits Hospital Auxiliary, 220 Burdette Street, St. Ignace Michigan 49781.
