Rose Dahlstrom, a 90-year-old resident of Allenville, died early Christmas morning, December 25, 2005, at Mackinac Straits Hospital.

She and her twin sister, Ruth, were born in Allenville February 25, 1915, to Adam L. and Anna Louise (nee Soblaski) Litzner.

She married Raymond Dahlstrom in 1940 at Sister Bay, Wisconsin, and the couple lived in Chicago and Glencoe, Illinois, for many years before moving back to Allenville in 1979. Mr. Dahlstrom died in 1985.

Mrs. Dahlstrom was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Allenville.

She is survived by a daughter and her family, Sharon and Bob Behrens of Arlington Heights, Illinois; five brothers and their families, Walter and Gert Litzner of St. Ignace, Eddie of Moran, Albert and Marjie of Bay City, George and Trish of Moran, and Art and Ruby of San Antonio, Texas; two sisters, LaVerne Shimkovitz and Ruth Johnson, both of Allenville.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, the infant Helen and Margaret Jackson in 1986.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at a later date at Zion Lutheran Church in Allenville.
