‘Cedarville Conspiracy’ Author To Speak in St. Ignace Aug. 13

The Straits of Mackinac Shipwreck Preserve Association, headquartered in St. Ignace, will sponsor a public appearance by L. Stephen Cox at 8 p.m. Saturday, August 13.

Mr. Cox will speak at the Quality Inn on U.S. 2 in St. Ignace. Doors will open to the public at 7 p.m. An ice cream social will precede his appearance. There is no charge to attend.

Mr. Cox is the author of “The Cedarville Conspiracy,” a book about the events surrounding the loss of the freighter Cedarville May 7, 1965.

Copies of Mr. Cox’s book will be available for purchase before and after his appearance.
