Bay Cliff Health Camp Looking for Former Campers and Staff

Bay Cliff Health Camp in Marquette is compiling a list of former campers and staff who were at one time associated with the facility for children with disabilities. Those who would like to register on the list may visit www.baycliff.org or call (906)-228-5770.

“We know that there are many people in the Upper Peninsula who have a special memory of time spent at Bay Cliff, either as a camper or a staff member,” said Tim Bennett, camp director, “and we are striving to make contact with as many of these people as possible, so we can establish an alumni association.”

During its 70 years, the camp has served more than 12,000 handicapped children and adults and continues to serve those across the Upper Peninsula who have physical disabilities. It is a non-profit, non-denominational summer therapy program.

A campaign is underway to raise $7.2 million to update the facility and redesign it for year-around use.
