Joe’s Bar Repeats as Softball Champs

Joe’s Bar of Rudyard won the annual Rudyard Fire Department One Pitch Softball Tournament during Rudyard’s Summer Fest on the weekend beginning Friday, July 29.

After dropping its first game in extra innings to Smith Sanitation, Joe’s Bar made a comeback by advancing through the losers bracket to repeat as Summer Fest softball champions. Nine teams participated in the tournament.

Pat VanSloten narrowly defeated Josh MacDonald to win the tournament’s homerun derby.
