With an eye toward spring, the planning has begun, paint chips, wallpaper samples, and maybe even a carpet sample or two.

Happy Valentine’s Day to all of the folks who surprised their significant other with candy, flowers, and the whole nine yards.

The lull in our tiny towns with regard to news continues, which can be a good thing. The snowmobile riders are happy with our winter conditions and continue to come and enjoy the trails.

The Livermores, Dave and I, our daughter-in-law, Amanda, our son, Scott and daughter, Sheila, traveled to Lake Orion to watch the Pistons play at the Palace. It was all set up compliments of our soldier son in Iraq, in conjunction with Valentine’s Day. It was a Sweetheart deal for his wife. She was presented with a plaque and our son appeared on a short video for her. All in all, it was a short trip, but a very memorable one. I do believe our son could sell the Brooklyn Bridge, if he thought he could.

Birthday wishes to Ray Derusha, who celebrated February 12, Brooke Livermore February 15, Adam Benoit February 17, and my sister, Lana Thompson, who now resides in the peach state of Georgia, February 20.

Get well wishes to a friend and neighbor who spent overnight under the watchful eye of the folks at Helen Newberry Joy Hospital, Rosie Prater. Also continued get well wishes to the many folks who continue to have health issues they are dealing with.
