Dorothy Rich
Dorothy S. Rich of Harrison was a former Trout Lake resident who worked 22 years as an executive secretary for Chrysler Corporation. She also worked for Excello Corporation during World War II.
Mrs. Rich died at the age of 96 early Friday morning, February 10, at Mid Michigan Medical Center in Clare, ending a short illness.
She was born November 29, 1909, in Los Angeles, California. She lived in the Royal Oak area for many years, then moved to Trout Lake in 1967. She eventually moved to Harrison in 1997, to be near her son and daughter-in-law, owing to her failing health.
Mrs. Rich is survived by one son and his family, Richard and Pat Pawloski of Harrison; four grandchildren and their families; 13 great-grandchildren, and one greatgreat grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Rich, who died April 23, 1996, and by her parents, Harry and Hazel Stenger.
Spring graveside services will be held at Lake View Cemetery in Trout Lake. Tim Tanner will officiate.
Memorial donations can be made to the Trout Lake Women’s Club Scholarship Fund. Donation envelopes are available at Dodson Funeral Home in St. Ignace, which is assisting the family with arrangements.
