Trent Salo scored 29 points, 20 coming in the fourth quarter, but Rudyard dropped a 70-60 Straits Area Conference (SAC) contest to Sault High Friday, February 10.

The Blue Devils clinched the SAC championship with an 8-0 mark, while the Bulldogs fell to 4-3 in the league.

Sault High led 14-10 after the first eight minutes before Rudyard outscored the Blue Devils 16-10 for a 26-24-halftime edge.

The Blue Devils took a 43-33 lead into the fourth quarter with a 19-7 advantage in the third period, but Salo scored 20 out of 27 Bulldogs points to cut the Sault High lead to seven before the home team won by 10 points.

Salo scored 29 points, along with seven assists, to lead the Bulldogs, while Travis Clegg added 10, Craig Wallis and Jordan Gaskin chipped in seven each, Jeff Briggs notched five, and Dan Bartley tallied two.

Adam Pancheri scored 21 points, Rob Guimond added 13, and Eddie James chipped in 11 for the Blue Devils.
