The Golden Eagle Award is an award created and sponsored by the Engadine Sports Boosters. The purpose of this award is to acknowledge any individual who has contributed significantly to the success of the Engadine Consolidated Schools’ Athletic program.

The Golden Eagle Award Committee has developed guidelines for this award and plans to annually present the award at the Engadine Sports Banquet each spring.

If you are interested in an application form to nominate an individual, please contact a committee member, or the Engadine Athletic Department. The deadline is March 1.

On Monday, February 13, the fourth grade students were immersed in Michigan history through the presentation of the Michilimackinac State Historical Parks interpreters. The French “voyageur” and the “British soldier” showed the students what life was like for the men and women of the late 17th and early 18th century at forts in the Straits area. The highlight was dancing to the musical instruments of the period and the firing of the big gun. What a wonderful learning experience.
