Shirley A. Schmid, 63, of Ballston Spa, New York, died Friday, February 10, 2006, at Samaritan Hospital.

She was born July 21, 1942, in St. Ignace to Edward and Evelyn Cody, one of 12 children.

She is survived by two children and their families, Raymond and Tammy Schmid of Ballston Lake and Rene and Eric Roman of Poestenkil; three grandchildren, Auby, Tessa, and Zachary; a brother, William Cody of St. Ignace, and two sisters and their families, Delores and Mario Calcaterra of St. Ignace and Mary Grace of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin.

Mrs. Schmid was preceded in death by her husband, Allan Schmid, five brothers, Leonard, Glen, Kenneth, Raymond, and Harold, and three sisters, Gladys, Dorothy, and Faye.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, February 14, at 10 a.m. at Armer Funeral Home in Ballston Spa.
