Kayaking, Painting, Swimming To Be Offered for Kids, Adults in Rudyard
Public swimming is offered at the Rudyard pool through this month, while kayaking and acrylic painting classes will be offered at Rudyard in April.
Public swimming is from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Sundays, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays. The cost is $2 per students and adults and $1 for infants. The final day is Sunday, April 2.
Kayaking classes for beginners will be at the pool on Mondays, April 3, 10, 17, and 24, from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. at the pool. Cost is $100 per person. Participants will learn paddle strokes, braces, rolls, rescues, and how to use essential kayak equipment. Registration is required.
An acrylic painting class will be held from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Thursdays from April 6 to April 27 at the Rudyard High School art room. Students will be shown how to use acrylics in the three most common forms, watercolor, regular, and impasto.
Students will be provided with supplies, however, they must bring photographs of subjects that are of interest to them to the first session. Judy Hamilton, former Rudyard High School art teacher, will be the instructor. The cost is $50 per person. Registration is required.
