The Saints split with the Vikings of Alanson, winning the opener 6-3 before falling 7-1 in the nightcap.

St. Ignace scored two runs in the top of the first inning, but Alanson scored three runs in the bottom half of the first before the Saints closed out the win with a single run in the second and three runs in the third.

Sophomore hurler Kyle Spencer picked up the win and James Peterson led the Saints offense with two hits that included one double, and scored one run. Lewie Mullins added a double and scored one run, Dan Olsen chipped in one double and scored one run, Shawn Cowell notched one hit and scored one run, and Kyle O'Boyle scored two runs with one stolen base.

The Saints opener the last four years has been at Inland Lakes and this season the Bulldogs swept St. Ignace 6-1 (all unearned runs) in the first game and held on for a 10 win in the second half of the doubleheader.

The Lady Saints defeated the Vikings 7-1 in the nightcap of the twinbill before falling 6-5 in the opener.

Jamie Krug earned the win on the mound and the defense play was a key factor as the Vikings, with runners on first and third, attempted a double steal. Gamble, the Saints catcher, fired a bullet to LaVake for the out at second, and LaVake returned the ball to the plate for the third out to end the inning and preserve the win.
