The Cedarville High School Drama Club will present Tim Kelly's "Tied to the Tracks" this Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7, in the Les Cheneaux Community Schools Old Gymnasium in Cedarville.

The Saturday performance will be at 7:30 p.m., and the Sunday matinee performance will be at 3 p.m. Tickets will be available at the door, and are $6 for adults, $5 for senior citizens, and $4 for children 12 and younger.

Lisa Dunn, the Drama Club advisor and play's director, calls the play "a good old fashioned western melodrama with a generous dose of lively songs, dances, and tongue-in-cheek laughs thrown in."

Audiences will cheer as the show's hero, Sheriff Billy Bold, played by Luke Murray, saves heroine Dakota Melody, played by Emily Pieri, from the clutches of dastardly villain Silas Scavenger, played by Matthew Manley. Eric Kozma plays Pinkerton agent Rufus Clang, described as "the Old West version of the FBI," and Lauren Izzard plays the notorious bandit queen, Wild Prairie Rose, "who's quick on the draw and intent on winning Sheriff Billy away from sweetheart Dakota Melody," Mrs. Dunn said.

Rachel Smith as Cassie, Michael Thompson as Running Water, and Amy Winberg as Madame Theodora Barracuda

play leading roles as members of snake oil salesman Silas Scavenger's "Traveling Show Troupe." Leigh Ann Hamel, Rhianna Milligan, and Erin Smith will appear as townswomen, while Katie Bowlby, Alice Coyne, Megan Hill, and Carissa Sudol will play the spunky Harvey Girls. Katie Eberts, Casey Hakola, Abbey Izzard, Casey Long, and Emily Winberg will round out the cast in multiple roles, playing gullible farmers, high stepping Can-Can dancers, and rough and ready cowboys.

Doug Sheckler will be at the sound board, and lighting will be handled by Kate Koster. Karen Landreville will serve as stage manager, and Casey Simpson will handle set crew duties. Betty Struble will accompany the cast on the piano, and Alan Jacobus will play percussion. Art direction is by Katie Eberts and Matthew Manley. Rhonda McGreevy is the vocal coach, and Sue Bowlby, Marianne Coyne, Lori Pieri, and Deanna Winberg will be on hand to help with makeup, box office, and refreshments.

Mrs. Dunn said the show will be fun for the whole family, and is approximately two hours in length, including one intermission.

Tickets can be ordered by calling the Les Cheneaux Community School box office at (906) 4842256, extension 410.
