Who left the freezer door open? So much for global warming. It hasn't reached here yet, but this too shall pass.
Surprise! A double retirement party was held for my husband, Dave, and his sister, Evelyn Burgess, each of them thinking it was for the other. It went off without a hitch. Whether they were completely surprised or not remains to be seen, and they aren't telling. Family and friends from near and far joined in the celebration as well as former co-workers of each. It was a great time, and I'm sure each of them will not let any grass grow under their feet. They just won't get paid for cutting it now.
Our son, Andy, made the trip north from Grand Rapids, and Evelyn's good friend, Maryama Tucker, along with two other coworkers, made the trip up from Kalamazoo. As is the custom for the Livermores, they never shy away from a family get-together.
