Blaine Paquet The Mackinaw City High School Class of 2006 has named Blaine Paquet valedictorian and Kristen Darrow and Betsie Frye salutatorians.

Blaine Paquet, son of Dave and Sherri Paquet, earned a 3.98 grade point average. He is president of the National Honor Society at his school. Mr. Paquet also participated in Close-up as well as in arts and athletics including varsity cross country and baseball, Drama Club, and band. Mr. Paquet plans to attend the University of Michigan and major in Aerospace Engineering.

Kristen Darrow, daughter of Bob and Char Darrow, earned a 3.92 grade point average. She is active in the National Honor Society, has participated in Close-up, and in basketball, volleyball, and softball. She has also played in the high school band. Miss Darrow will be studying business at Central Michigan University.

Betsie Frye, daughter of Joel and Kim Frye, also earned a 3.92 grade point average. She played basketball, volleyball, and softball. Miss Frye was a member of the National Honor Society, the Drama Club, and played in the band. She will attend Lake State Superior University this fall as a forensic chemistry major.
