Seney Wildlife To Hold Free Fishing Day

Children ages 16 and younger are welcome to participate in the 17th annual Children's Fishing Day at Seney National Wildlife Refuge in Seney Saturday, June 10.

Registration and fish measuring are between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Visitor Center near Germfask. Participants and parents are welcome to a fish fry at 2:30 p.m. Parents are requested to bring their own plates, cups, and cutlery.

Games and crafts will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. Prizes will follow the dinner.

Wildlife officials want to remind participants that lead equipment is prohibited on the refuge for the safety of the wildlife.
