A workshop for diabetes support group leaders hosted at Marquette General Hospital Thursday, June 15, will be simultaneously broadcast via video-conference to interested viewers at other Upper Peninsula hospitals so support group leaders can benefit from the program, without the need to travel.

The U.P. Diabetes Outreach Network (UPDON) will host the workshop from 1:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. that day and it will be broadcast in cooperation with the Upper Peninsula Telehealth Network. The program is open to anyone involved with diabetes support, diabetes-related groups, or who has an interest in these groups.

Presenters will be Gil Witt and Joan Koets, support group leaders and trainers from western Lower Michigan.
