Clark Township To Host Free Clean-up Day June 17

2006-06-08 / News

Clark Township will host only one free summer clean-up day this year Saturday, June 17, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Light participation at last year's two free dump days prompted Clark Township Board of Trustees to cut the service back to one day. Rising costs passed to the township by Waste Management was another factor cited by the board in deciding to offer the single disposal day.

The service is available to residents and taxpayers of Clark Township, at the township's transfer site on State Avenue in Cedarville. Participants can bring any trash except the following materials: metal of any kind, compost materials, lumber, tires, and hazardous medical materials.

Tickets are required for disposal, and they can be picked up at the Treasurer's office at Clark Township Hall from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. The Treasurer's office will also be open Saturday, June 17, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. so people can pick up tickets for dump day.

Information can be obtained by calling Clark Township Hall at (906) 484-2672.
