Gladys Grogan
Gladys Grogan Gladys Grogan, 74, of Evergreen Shores died Thursday, June 1, 2006, at Northern Michigan Hospital in Petoskey.
She was born June 6, 1931, in Simmons Settlement to Manley and Faye (nee Brady) Simmons.
She was graduated from high school and married Lyle Grogan August 28, 1949, in Wolverine.
Mrs. Grogan worked as a jail matron for 16 years at the Mackinac County Sheriff's Department and also worked with the Probate Court in the juvenile division, was an emergency medical technician with the St. Ignace Ambulance for several years, and was a mail carrier for the Star route.
She was a life member of Moose Lodge 999.
Mrs. Grogan is survived by her children and their families, Gary, William, and Steve Grogan of St. Ignace, Judie Snyder of Marquette, and Tracy and Steve Utter of St. Ignace, three brothers, two sisters, 14 grandchildren, and 10 greatgrandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lyle, on September 19, 2000.
Visitation and services were held Monday, June 5, at Dodson Funeral Home, with the family conducting the service.
