EUPC Teams Compete at U.P. Golf Finals
Jason Duncan, low medallist for Cedarville with 86, hits his tee shot on number 10 at Highland Golf Club. Pickford, Cedarville, DeTour, and Brimley boys and girls teams competed in the Division 3 Upper Peninsula State Golf Finals at the Highland Golf Club in Escanaba and at Irish Oakes in Gladstone Friday, June 2.
Boys Results at Escanaba: Pickford finished fourth, led by Jon Clegg and Richie Boal with 83's. Cedarville and DeTour tied for 10th place at 355 as Jason Duncan carded 86 for the Trojans and Nathan Klamerus 84 for the Raiders, and Brimley tallied 438, led by Mike Cole with 87. Ontonagon won the Division 3 boys title with a team score of 313, while Crystal Falls-Forest Park placed second at 318.
Girls Results at Gladstone: DeTour finished fourth with team score of 446, as Angela Fought finished in the top 10 for the Raiders with a 18-hole score of 107. Brimley placed fifth at 447, led by Shanna Hascall in the top 10 at 104, Cedarville ninth overall at 472, with Jessie Duncan posting a score of 112, and Pickford 10th with a team score of 476. Painesdale/Jeffers won the girls Division 3 crown with team score of 437, edging runner-up Bessemer with 438.
Pickford's Jon Clegg Remaining individual results for Cedarville include Chad Schlosser and Taylor Smith with 89's, Jordan Duncan 91, and Justin Baker 99 for the boys, while Lindsay McLeod carded 117, Charlene Brissette 119, Lauren Izzard 124, and Kara Griffin 125 for the girls.
