Division 3 Boys U.P. Track Results
The Brimley boys finished tied for third with 54 points, while Mid Peninsula won the Division 3 title with 68 points, followed by Rapid River with 55, the Bays and North Central 54, Bark River-Harris 50, North Dickinson 41, Superior Central 36, Crystal Falls-Forest Park 28, Ontonagon and Engadine 26, Pickford 25, Cedarville 15, Painesdale-Jeffers 13, Baraga and Bessemer 9, Wakefield and CarneyNadeau 8, Ewen-Trout Creek 4, and Lake Linden 2.
Ryan Freedman finished second in the 100 meter dash. Jerrod Dillon placed third in the 100-meter dash, Jordan Dillon third in the 200-meter dash, Harlan Chartrand third in the 400-meter dash, and Derek Parish fifth in the shot put. The Bays 800meter relay team of Chris York, Travis Lynn, Jerrod Dillon, and Ryan Freedman took second.
The 1600-meter relay foursome of Jeff Graham, York, Freedman, and Chartrand placed third, and the 3200-meter relay group of Ken Schwiderson, Graham, York, and Chartrand finished third.
Engadine: Grayson Hood won the low hurdles in 42.56. J.J. Troyer placed second in the shot put and fifth in the discus, Paul Converse placed fourth in the 100-meter dash, and the Eagles 400-meter relay team of Stefen Albright, Kris Kerbersky, Paul Converse, and Hood took sixth.
The 800-meter relay foursome of Jacob Swider, Albright, Hood, and Converse placed sixth.
Pickford: Richard Gibson won the 1600-meter run in 4:44.29, placed fifth in the 3200-meter run, and sixth in the 800-meter run to lead the Panthers.
Scott Coullard finished second in the 400-meter dash, Kip Cline fifth in the high jump and sixth in the long jump, and the 1600-meter relay team took sixth.
Cedarville: Kevin Thompson placed fourth in the pole vault. Peter Treleaven was fourth in the 400meter dash. Ryan Duman placed fourth in the high jump.
Justin Baker was sixth in the low hurdles. The 3200-meter relay team of Jordan Sweeney, Mike Thompson, Jason Duncan, and Clayton Myers finished fifth.
