A group of DeTour Village artists have formed a cooperative, The Pilot House art and antique store, the name inspired by the village's original 28-foot wood pilot boat, the Philo B. Leonard, which has been restored and is displayed at the store at 158 Ontario Street.

The Pilot House will feature quilts, original watercolors, pottery, jewelry, drawings, woodwork, cards, soap, jam, baskets, and glassware against a backdrop of antique furniture, reported Janelle Dudeck, a member of the group.
